Many sports and dance clubs have questions related to their association with GCDF or how they can become a part of GCDF. In order to answer such queries, we have created this FAQ section, which can assist various clubs in finding answers as to how they can be a part of GCDF on behalf of their students.
Can a Sports or Dance Club be a Sponsor?
Yes. Any legal entity can be a Sponsor. The child you sponsor will relate to your organization as his or her sponsor. Additionally, the $250 gift limitation does not apply to legal entities that are sponsors.
Can our Gymnastics Club sign up athletes interested in your program? We will pay 50% of the sponsorship rate for every sponsored child as a charitable donation and bill our gymnasts the remainder cost.
Yes. Your athletes also may each identify him/herself as the sponsor of the child, even if the gym itself is making the payments for sponsorship.
Can we pay you by check?
Yes. Payments over $100 are accepted by check.
What information from our athletes or dancers do you require to let them sponsor a child?
If your school is paying for the sponsorship on behalf of your students, we need no information about your students.
What do we put in for "Sponsorship done on behalf of"?
Leave this blank. Although you may be buying sponsorships on behalf of your students, this field is intended for parents buying sponsorships for their children, not clubs.
