Sponsorship Examples

To Prospective supporters:

GCDF has been kindly asked to provide examples of other nonprofit charities utilizing the child sponsorship model in the field of arts and sports for children. We kindly provide a selection of examples below.

GCDF has yet to find an example in the field of sports outside of a corporate sponsorship model, but after much research, we have determined the model is used by several ballet schools in the United States.

What Does it mean for Dancers to have a Sponsor.

The above link discusses the practice of ballet school using sponsorship models for their individual dancers. It cites the Cincinnati and the Carolina Ballet.

Jacob's Pillow, a ballet school in Massachusetts, utilizes the individual sponsorship model as well at $5,000.

As discussed in the first link, the revenue goes to the school and not directly to the dancer. We follow the same model in order to protect child dancers and athletes. In the cases of existing examples by ballet schools, they provide as a benefit of a personalized friendship between the sponsored dancer and the sponsor. We intend to do the same through our letter writing and eventually social media platform.

We continue to welcome additional questions from those with a serious interest in supporting our program.

Thank you!
